Comments from Ann :

* if they aren\'t in season, any SWEET onion will do

This is the easiest and best appetizer I\'ve ever made. At parties, guests will actually hover over the oven waiting for it to come out. I\'m not allowed to go to gatherings without it!

User Reviews:

A relative made this a couple years ago for a Christmas party and we all LOVED it ! Every time I see a vidalia onion I CRAVE this appetizer ! This one hits a home run with all onion lovers !

i have the same recipe, except for the fact that mine calls for cheddar cheese. I can attest to the fact that it is a MUCH sought after recipe!!! I can't wait to try it with swiss!
