Ingredients:

1 lb. cooked roast beef, julienned
2 potatoes, cooked and diced
1 onion, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
Bacon fat
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 to 2 tbsp. maple syrup
Paprika, to taste

Directions:

In a large pan fry the potatoes in the bacon fat with the onions. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Add the roast beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in the maple syrup and simmer for about 5 minutes and stir.

This has got to be one of the best hash recipes that I have found.

I took the time to make this last weekend with some leftover roast that we had. I have never made hash before. I just opened up a can if we wanted it. Now I am hooked on making our own! The maple syrup really makes this a new taste.
