Ingredients:

1 cup channa dhal
1 cup urad dhal
7 red chilies
1 cup coriander seeds
1 stick cinnamon
1 lemon, juice of
1/2 head cabbage
2 cups rice
1/3 cup oil
1 tbsp. salt

Directions:

Fry channa dhal, urad dhal, coriander seeds in a pan without oil. Add red chillies and turn off heat. Keep on stove top. Once cooled, add the cinnamon stick and transfer to a blender. Blend to a fine powder.

Heat oil in a heavy pan. When the oil is hot, add the shredded cabbage; fry until completely done. Add salt and the powder. Add lemon juice and set it aside.

Cook rice. Mix rice and cabbage. Serve Hot.

You can also make the same recipie with egg plant instead of cabbage.

The powder made out of 1 cup of all these dhals can be used twice.This recipie requires only half of the powder to be added.
All these ingredients are available in any Indian grocery store.
