Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Cut in the shortening. Beat eggs with sugar. Blend egg mixture with flour mixture. Roll out dough onto floured board to deired thickness and cut with floured cookie cutters. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 6-8 minutes. Do not overcook. Cover with icing if desired.
