There is a little story behind the name of this bread... When I was working on the recipe, a friend of mine was pregnant. I brought her a loaf of banana bread every week for about 6-7 months until the baby was born. I was going to try like heck to help make this a healthy baby!
Devin was born on February 7th, 1998 a very healthy 9 lbs. 10 ounces! I was there at the hospital and got to see Christine hold him for the first time. What a wonderful experience...
Today Devin is celebrating his first birthday. It is with gratitude that I post this recipe; grateful am I to have shared in his birthing experience and grateful to see him today walking and playing.
Happy Birthday Devin! Glad you liked the bread! :) Ryan

Everytime I have had leftover bananas to use up this past year or so I have used this recipe. It has been one of the most reliable ones I have found. My family and friends love it. Me Too! THX :) |

This bread was so good! It would even be good without the nuts! But it just turned out delicious and looked great, too! |
