Comments from ryansnyder :

There is a little story behind the name of this bread... When I was working on the recipe, a friend of mine was pregnant. I brought her a loaf of banana bread every week for about 6-7 months until the baby was born. I was going to try like heck to help make this a healthy baby!

Devin was born on February 7th, 1998 a very healthy 9 lbs. 10 ounces! I was there at the hospital and got to see Christine hold him for the first time. What a wonderful experience...

Today Devin is celebrating his first birthday. It is with gratitude that I post this recipe; grateful am I to have shared in his birthing experience and grateful to see him today walking and playing.

Happy Birthday Devin! Glad you liked the bread! :) Ryan

User Reviews:

Everytime I have had leftover bananas to use up this past year or so I have used this recipe. It has been one of the most reliable ones I have found. My family and friends love it. Me Too! THX :)

best banana bread i have ever made, and have now made it a few dozen times and get nothing but rave reviews!!!

This bread was so good! It would even be good without the nuts! But it just turned out delicious and looked great, too!
