Total Time:

Ingredients:

28 oz. pomfret
1/2 oz. garlic
4 red chilies
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1 tsp. ground turmeric
5 oz. potato
3 fl. oz. oil

Directions:

Cut fins, slit flesh and wash well. Grind all the masala with approximately 20 grams oil. Salt the fish and drain the moisture. Apply the masala and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Heat oil in a frying pan until it smokes, and fry the fish. Turn over gently and fry the other side. Do not handle the fish or the skin will come off.

Cut potatoes into 1-1/2-inch x 1/2 cm. x 1/2 cm. strips. Fry the potatoes in oil. Serve fish with potato straws.
