Ingredients:

2 cups buttermilk biscuit mix
1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1-1/2 cups milk
3 tbsp. shortening, melted
1 cup ground raw cranberries

Orance Sauce:
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups boiling water
1 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:

Combine biscuit mix and sugar; stir in eggs and milk. Add melted shortening, mixing well; fold in cranberries. Bake in a preheated waffle baker and serve with orange sauce.

Orange sauce:
Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt; add to boiling water. Cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in butter, orange rind, orange juice, and lemon juice.
