Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh mushrooms and stems
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 lb. sausage

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Carefully remove stems from mushrooms and chop. In a large skillet, brown sausage and stems together. When sausage is done, add cream cheese and cook until the cheese is melted. Spoon the mixture into the mushrooms so that its heaping over the top. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the mushrooms reach a dark gray in color and are soft and juicy. Serve warm.

I made this for the Super Bowl and they were a hit - no leftovers at all!


It's a little greasy, but with a whole bunch of other finger foods it's ok.
