Ingredients:

12 sm. sweet potatoes
2 cups sugar
1 cup hot water
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 tsp. salt

Directions:

Peel sweet potatoes and leave whole. Place potatoes in a shallow greased baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients and bring to a boil and boil for 8 minutes. Pour this hot syrup over potatoes and bake in preheated 350°F oven for one hour or until syrup is thick and potatoes are tender. Spoon syrup in dish over potatoes several ties during cooking.
