Ingredients:

1 can tomato paste
2 cans water
2 md. onions, finely chopped
3 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
4 slices bacon, cubed
Bacon grease (divided)
2 dashes pepper
1/2 cup bacon grease
2 cups raw rice

Directions:

Fry bacon, remove from pan, and drain most of the bacon grease. Add tomato paste, water, salt, sugar and pepper. Cook, uncovered, slowly for approximately 10 minutes, until mixture measures two cups. Then add it to rice in top section of a rice steamer. Add an additional 1/2 cup bacon grease; steam for 1/2 hour. Add bacon pieces and stir with a fork. Cook 30 to 45 minutes longer.
