Ingredients: |
|
|
25 chicken wings
1 cup honey
4 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. hoisin sauce
1 cup water
1 tbsp. molasses
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. cornstarch
|
Directions:
|
Mix soy and hoisin in a saucepan at medium-high heat. Stir in other ingredients, cornstarch slurry last. Bring to a soft boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly as sauce thickens. Reduce heat; continue stirring and adjust to taste. Put aside to cool.
Wings:
Rinse with water and trim off tips. In batches, brown wings on very high heat in vegetable oil. Place wings in a casserole dish and cook at 375°F for 1-1/2 hours. Toss them once or twice and pour some sauce over them after 30 minutes. Prepare a large finger-bowl and eat.

Try dipping anything edible, or not, into leftover sauce: broccoli, veggie sticks, the cat, etc.

If you haven't tried cooking wings for 2 hours at 350, don't knock it! They turn out so tender they fall off the bone! Try it, you'll like it! |

Re your dark and dash chicken wings: This recipe calls for baking the wings for 2 hours @350 deg. Are you nutz? There would be nothing left to eat after all that baking. An hour MAX is enough. |
