Ingredients:

1 clove garlic
2 tbsp. peanuts, cooked and crushed
2 tsp. raw sugar
2 chilies
1/2 lg. tomato
1 cup shredded green pawpaw
3 tbsp. fish sauce
2 tbsp. lime juice

Directions:

In a large mortar crush together garlic, peanuts and sugar. Add whole chilies to taste and crush some more. Add remaining ingredients and crush until the ingredients are bruised rather than squashed and thoroughly mixed. Serve at warm room temperature as an accompaniment to a main dish, or as an appetizer.
