Prep. Time:

Total Time:

Ingredients:

1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
3 tbsp. butter, soft
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 dash cayenne pepper
1 dash salt
1 can smoked oysters, drained

Directions:

Cream the cheese and butter. Blend in flour, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper and salt. Take a slightly rounded teaspoonful of the dough and mold around each oyster. Make sure the oysters are completely covered. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 400°F for 12 minutes or until golden brown.

Comments from Misty Graves :

Variations: Substitute pecans, walnuts, cocktail franks or olives for the oysters.

If you have dough left over, you can make plain cheese puffs for variety, or the dough can be refrigerated for several days if needed.
