Ingredients:

12 chicken breasts (boneless)
2 green peppers, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14 oz.) whole tomatoes
1/3 cup tomato paste
1 can beef broth
1 tbsp. dried parsley
1-1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 tsp. tabasco sauce
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. shelled shrimp
3 cups cooked rice

Directions:

Cut chicken into 1 inch pieces. Add all ingredients except shrimp and rice into crock-pot. Cover. Cook on low 8-10 hours ot high 3-4 hours. Add shrimp last 15-30 minutes of cooking. Stir in rice when ready to serve.

Where did you get this recipie? I was born and raised in Baton Rouge and I have never eaten any jambalia that is made quite this way! You do not put seafood or ham in there. And you never use ham in Jambalaya or in Gumbo for that matter!A Good idea for jambalaya could include anything from chicken and saussage to turkey or even squrrell or some other poor woodland creature for that matter, but not seafood or ham! If you want seafood, try a good gumbo!
