Ingredients: |

1 can (40 oz.) yams
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

Heat oven to 350°F. Place drained yams in an ungreased 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle salt over yams. In small bowl, mix other ingredients. Mix well, spinkle over yams. Bake 35-40 minutes, or until bubbly.

I am now famous for this recipe! Yes, I tell everyone where I got it. I was a nonbeliever. I made yams because they were customary Thanksgiving fare. Now I love them & I've converted others. |

I'm so happy I came across this recipe.
This Gives a more up-beat version of yams but it still has an old-fasioned flare.
when anyone asks me to bring a pass a dish to parties it is usually this recipe they ask for, and better yet I dont even have to wash the dish because someone always seems to lick the plate clean |
