1 box macaroni
1/2 cup milk
4 tbsp. butter
1 cup sharp chedder cheese, shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup hot pepper cheese, shredded
2 cups mild chedder cheese, shredded

Directions:
|
Cook pasta according to box directions for baking pasta. Place in baking dish and add milk, butter and cheese, except for 1 cup of the mild chedder. Place in oven for 25 minutes at 350°F. Remove from oven, stir and add remaining cheese on top. Bake an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

If I am preparing for small children, I substitute American cheese for the Hot Pepper cheese. Can also add ham or tuna before baking.

The first time I made this, I made it with the cheeses listed, substituting plain Jack cheese for pepper cheese. The result was rather bland, and it didn't taste very cheesy.
The second time I made this, instead of the cheeses listed, I used a 2 cup package of White Rose 4-Cheese shredded cheese, and 2 1/2 cups of shredded Pepper Jack. The result was much tastier than the first time around. |
