Ingredients:

1 egg, beaten
8 oz. sour cream
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
4 cups cooking apples, thinly sliced and peeled
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1-1/2 cups water
1-1/4 cups brown sugar, packed
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions:

For dough:
Combine, in a med. bowl, egg and sour cream. In a small bowl stir together flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to
sour cream mix. Mix well. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to a 12-inch square. Spread apples atop. In a small bowl combine 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg; sprinkle atop apples. Carefully roll up dough. Cut into twelve 1-inch slices. Place slices, cut side down, in a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Stir together water, brown sugar, 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice; pour over slices in pan. Dot with butter.
Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 35-40 minutes or until golden.
