Total Time:

Ingredients:

4 cups chicken, cooked, chopped
2 pkg. (3 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. chives, chopped
2 tbsp. milk
Salt, to taste
1 cup seasoned croutons, crushed
2 to 3 pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
1/4 cup butter, melted (I use the spray on butter)

Directions:

Mix chicken, creamed cheese, chives, milk and salt in a medium bowl (mixing with hands works best) to make filling. Unroll crescent rolls. Each tub will contain 4 rectangles of dough with a diagonal perforation. Press dough along each perforation so the rectangle halves will not seperate. Place about 1/4 cup chicken mixture into the center of each rectangle. Fold dough over the filling, and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Dip each packet in melted butter (or I use the spray on butter), and coat each packet with crouton crumbs. Place packets on the baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Comments from Kathie Dunavant :

Packets are good either hot or cold.

**For the kids, I make smaller packets by using just one of the crescent rolls. It makes more, and smaller portions.
