Comments from Stephane Corbe :

By the way, this recipe originally came from the net. It won a BettyCrocker cookoff (or something) for best recipe. The recipe as given contained 1-3/4 cups of flour but I discovered that the cookies came out too flat and crunchy so I upped it to 2-1/4 (the standard cookie amount) and I've had nothing but praise for them ever since.
