Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 stick butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup quick oats

Directions:

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla ln large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and oats. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in preheated 350°F over for 8 to 11 minutes or untl golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
