Ingredients:

2-1/2 cups oatmeal
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 (4 oz.) Hershey Bar, grated
1-1/2 cups walnuts or pecans, chopped

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Process the oatmeal into a fine powder using a blender or food processor. Set aside. Cream the butter with both sugars. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Beat in the vanilla. Beat in the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and oatmeal. Stir in the chocolate chips, grated Hershey bar and nuts. Roll into balls. Place 2-inches apart on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
