Ingredients:

4 cups shredded red cabbage (about 3.4 pound)
2 md. apples, cored and cut into wedges
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions:

Place cabbage, apples, vinegar and brown sauce in saucepan over medium heat. Mix well. Cover, simmer 10 minutes until cabbage is tender-crisp. Add salt and nutmeg. Mix well. Serve warm.

The nutmeg overpowered the other flavors. I will try it again, with less nutmeg.
