Total Time:

1:20

Ingredients:

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup salted butter, softened
3 lg. eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven 300°F. In a medium bowl combine flour, soda, salt, and cocoa. Mix well with wire whisk and set aside. In large bowl blend sugars with mixer at medium speed. Add butter and beat to form a grainy paste. Scrape sides then add eggs and vanilla. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture and chocolate chips. Blend at low speed until just combined. Do not overmix. Drop dough by rounded tsp. onto ungreased cookie sheets 1-1/2-inches apart. Bake 21-23 minutes. Immediately transfer to a cool surface.

User Reviews:

These were loved by all who tried them. I made two changes to the recipe -- I chopped two chocolate bars up and used those instead of the chocolate chips, and I baked the cookies for 10 minutes at 350°F.
