Add half of the chips (1 cup) and the vanilla. Beat with a wooden spoon until chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each one. Blend in flour mixture about 1/3 cup at a time. Beat well. Finally mix in the remaining cup of chips and the chopped nuts. Spread in a 9x9x2-inch pan and bake 30-35 minutes.
