Ingredients:

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. water
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 lg. island eggs
1/2 cup macadamia nuts, chopped *

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325°F. Sift dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt) and set aside. In a large pot combine butter, sugar and water. Remove from heat just before it comes to a boil. Add half of the chips (1 cup) and the vanilla. Beat with a wooden spoon until chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each one. Blend in flour mixture about 1/3 cup at a time. Beat well. Finally mix in the remaining cup of chips and the chopped nuts. Spread in a 9x9x2-inch pan and bake 30-35 minutes.
