Total Time:

1:15

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 cup instant coffee granules
1-1/4 cups sour cream
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate morsels
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:

Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl, stir well. Combine sour cream, eggs and butter in a large bowl, stir well. Add flour mixture to sour cream mixture, stirring until blended. Stir in chocolate morsels and, if desired, pecans. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350°F for 50 to 55 minutes or until top appears glazed and sides pull away from pan. Let cool in pan 10 minutes, remove and let cool completely on a wire rack.

Comments from Kathleen Morrison :

This is a very delicious bread. We eat it with a pecan butter mixture spread on it warmed.
