Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Rice Krispies
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 pkg. butterscotch chips

Directions:

Mix sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan. Boil over moderate heat. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and Rice Krispies. Press into greased 13x9-inch pan. Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a double boiler over hot, but not boiling, water. Spread over cereal mix. Chill. Remove from pan, and cut.

I have made this recipe for years, and Pat is right, the microwave makes the melting of the chips soooo much easier. These are a holiday tradition in my house.


This is one of my all time favorite recipes. I cook the sugar/corn syrup mixture in the microwave, and melt the chips in the microwave as well. Makes this recipe extra speedy!
