1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
Milk

Directions:

Stir dry ingredients until well distributed, then add oil, egg, and enough milk to make a batter about the consistency of thick buttermilk. Mix well. Pour into a well oiled cast iron skillet. Bake in 425°F oven for 25 minutes.
