Ingredients:

2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup dry oats
1 cup peanut butter
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Beat together the shortening, sugars, and eggs until fluffy. Blend in peanut butter and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips. Roll into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350°F approximately 8 minutes.

The original recipe did not call for nuts, I love nuts in cookies so I added them. They are great!
