Ingredients:

1/4 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 egg whites, whipped
1-1/2 cups unbleached flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder, sifted
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. powdered sugar, sifted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare baking sheets with cooking spray; set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine margarine, buttermilk, vanilla , and eggwhites. In another mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients just until moistened. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls, 2-inches apart onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 7 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

The finished product tastes good - I appreciate the fact that you are now overwhelmed with sugar. However, either the oven temperature is too low or the cooking time is too short. My cookies came out liquid in the center, so I adjusted the baking time to 9 minutes. Next time, I'll try turning up the heat a little bit.
