Ingredients:

1-1/4 cups sugar
1-1/4 cups water
6 cups crushed ice, divided
3/4 cup rum, divided
3/4 cup Triple sec, divided
6 lemons,halved,divided
Club soda

Directions:

Dissolve sugar in water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat; reduce heat to low and simmer 3 minutes. Transfer syrup to a bowl; cool competely
Fill six glasses or Mason jars with 1 cup of ice and one third prepared sugar syrup, 2 tablespoons rum and 2 tablespoons Triple sec; squeeze juice of one lemon in each glass or jar(reserve 6 squeezed lemon halves)Stir or if using mason jars cover with lids and shake vigorously to combine.
Top each drink with club soda and garnish with the lemon half.

We made this recipe over the 4th. of July and boy were they good. We got the recipe from: Cuisine at home.
We used Mason jars with the tops. You can use just tall glasses and stir them.
