Ingredients:

1 bag (12 oz) fresh or frozen cranberries
3 lg. apples sliced thin, tart apples like granny smith are best. Peaches also work.
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups plain dry oatmeal
2/3 cup all purpose flour
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. each: cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves, nutmeg
1-1/4 sticks (10 tblsp) butter, melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Greese or butter the bottom and corners of a 13" by 9" pan.

Combine fruit and white sugar, mix briefly to coat, spread into pan.
Combine flour, brown sugar, oatmeal, and seasonings, mixing to break up brown sugar lumps. Add melted butter last and mix well. Loosen mixture with a fork and crumble over top of the fruit, press down gently when the whole surface is covered.

Bake about 45 min, fruit juices should bubble, oatmeal should be crisp.

Comments from kazeryuujin :

Need to eat more fruit? Make it a delicious dessert! Great served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Warning: finding cranberries outside of the thanksgiving/holiday season can be difficult in places. Luckly they freeze well.
