Ingredients:

2 tbsp. butter, melted in a pan
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup flour (any of these-white, wheat, buckwheat)
1 cup finely smashed walnuts (can also be combined with pecans)
Powdered sugar

Directions:

while 2 tablespoons butter is melting in oven, (pan sizes 9 1/2" by 91/2" square pan or 12 by 8" oblong pan),

Beat 2 eggs,
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla & beat again,
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt,
Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda,
Add 1/3 cups any kinda flour & beat until mixed,
Creamy at this point then-
Add 1 cup smashed walnuts or combine with pecans (the finer the better) I use a hammer to smash the nuts,
Beat until mixed,
Pour into pan of melted butter,
Bake 350 degrees in oven or toaster oven,
For 20-25 mintues until the edges pull away from the sides,
Cool,
Sprinkle with powder sugar & cut into bite size or bigger,
Servings for 12x8 is about 40 bite size pieces bars,
Servings for 9 1/2 X 91/2 is about 20 one inch size.
