Ingredients:

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/2 cup cold water
1/4 cup soft butter or margarine

Directions:

Heat oven to 450 F.

Stir baking mix and water to a soft dough. Gently smooth dough into a ball on floured cloth covered board. Knead 5 times.

Roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Spread half of the butter over half of the dough; fold over and spread remaining butter over half of the dough. Fold in half and roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured 2 inch cutter. Place 2 biscuits cut sides up in each ungreased muffin cup.

Bake about 10 minutes. 8 or 9 biscuits.

Something new in fan tans. Two buttery biscuits baked together in a muffin cup. Serve with wine or herb jelly for you most elegant dinner party.
