Ingredients:

3 cups Icing sugar (confectioner’s / powdered)
3 tbsp. milk
3/4 cup shortening, such as Crisco, softened
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:

Put all ingredients into small mixing bowl. Beat together well. Add more milk or icing sugar if needed for easy spreading. Makes about 3 cups.

This is the whitest of the whites. Great for piping onto cakes. Tints easily for truer colors.

this icing was kind of thick...then i added about a tablespoon of milk and it thinned out... but then i had to keep adding sugar...

it tastes great but it took quite a while to get it thick enough to spread but thin enough to not look like a brick...
