Total Time:

Ingredients:

1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef
4 slices bread
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 lemon, sliced very thin
1 green pepper sliced crosswise
1 lg. onion, sliced thinly and broken into rings
3/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup water

Directions:

Combine meat with bread that has been soaked in the milk. Mix parsley, beaten egg, salt/pepper and soy sauce. Pat meat into a cake about 1 inch thick. (A deep-sided 10 inch pie plate works good, or something similar)

Cover top evenly with lemon slices, green pepper and onion. Mix catsup with water, pour over onion rings, etc. Bake in hot oven 450°F for 35 minutes.
