Total Time:

Ingredients:

1 rabbit cut into pieces
2 tsp. vegetable oil
Lots of garlic
1 Oxo cube
1 Gravy cube
8-1/2 fl. oz. red wine
4 tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp. Worchestershire sauce
1 tbsp. bisto

Directions:

In a big frying pan, fry the rabbit in oil, brown well every side, when the rabbit is well browned add the garlic and fry for about 3 minutes (do not burn the garlic). Add wine and reduce for 5 minutes. Then take the rabbit off the frying pan, dissolve both the cubes in 250ml of boiling water and add to the frying pan then add the soy sauce and the Worchester sauce. Finally dissolve the bisto in 30ml cold water and add to the frying pan, mix well and simmer for 5 minutes. Finally add the rabbit and cook gently for about an hour and a half (partially covered for the first 30 minutes then covered for the rest), check that the rabbit is tender. You may prepare the dish in advance, ie in the morning and once ready leave it covered but off the flame so the rabbit becomes very tender, then eat it in the evening.

Comments from sajjettablu :

This is a typical maltese dish served with fries or with pasta ( Spaghetti )
