Ingredients:

4 cups shredded cabbage
1-1/2 cups diced onion
1 cup sugar
1 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup canola oil
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard

Directions:

In a medium bowl, alternate layers of cabbage and onion; sprinkle with 1 cup sugar. In a sauce pan, mix together remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; pour over cabbage mixture. DO NOT MIX AT THIS POINT. Cover and regrigerate 4-6 hours; mix and serve.

I have been cooking for 60 yrs. and this is the very best coleslaw recipe I have yet to find, it is fresh, not soggy,has tons of flavor, my whole family raves over this one. I followed it to the tee but did divide the large amount of sugar between the two layers of cabbage.This is a saver!
