SMALL:
1/4 cup water
3 tbsp. margarine or butter
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. grated orange peel
1/8 tsp. anise
1-3/4 cups bread flour
1 tsp. bread machine yeast
MEDIUM:
1/3 cup water
4-1/2 tbsp. margarine or butter
4-1/2 eggs
3/8 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. grated orange peel
1/8 tsp. anise
2-1/3 cups bread flour
1-1/2 tsp. bread machine yeast
LARGE:
1/2 cup water
6 tbsp. margarine or butter
6 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
1/4 tsp. anise
3-1/2 cups bread flour
2-1/2 tsp. bread machine yeast

Directions:

Welbilt ABM 100, and Mister Loaf – Use Sweet Bread Cycle

EGG SUBSTITUTE:

SMALL USE 3/4 CUP
MEDIUM: USE 1 1/8 CUP
LARGE: USE 1 1/2 CUPS

Note: Make sure you use the recipe that will fit in your machine.

This is the bread carried to and eaten at the graves of relatives on All Souls Day. Traditionally, it is round and decorated with “bones” made from the dough. This is almost like eating a cake instead of bread.
