Total Time:

1:00

Ingredients:

1 bottle beer
3 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup sugar (ok to substitute with Splenda)
Butter to taste

Directions:

Grease loaf pan and preheat oven to 350°F. Mix beer, flour and sugar just until blended (don't over mix or bread will be tough). Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and spread butter over top. Return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Comments from pattisons4ou :

This is so easy! It came from an old magazine and my family loves it! After I grease my loaf pan, I line it with a long, skinny piece of parchment paper. It just covers the bottom and ends. It then acts as a "sling" for easy removal. This bread is pretty sweet as it is... I've reduced the sugar a little in the past and it's been fine. This goes really well with chili!
