Ingredients:

2 lb. sirloin steak, cut in 1-inch cubes
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried ground chili peppers
6 peppercorns
1/4 tsp. saffron
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup wine vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup olive oil

Directions:

Trim the fat from the meat. In a bowl, mix together the salt, chili peppers, peppercorns, saffron, garlic, vinegar, and water. Add the meat and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.

Drain the meat; reserve the marinade. Thread the meat on 4-6 skewers; brush with the olive oil. Broil as close to the heat as possible 6 minutes, or to desired degree of rareness, turning and basting frequently with the marinade. Serves 4-6.
