Mash cheese and milk together. Divide cheese into thirds Mash and tint 1/3 a pleasing pink, the next green and the next blue.
Spread bread with butter. Spread 1/3 bread with pink cheese, 1/3 with green and 1/3 with blue. Stack together, covering with a fourth slice, buttered side down. Chill in a pan covered with damp tea towel until just before using.
To serve, cut crusts from 4 slice sandwich. Then cut in half with hot, clean knife. Cut each half into 7. This makes 14 small oblong sandwiches for each 4 slices of bread. If you want them a little bigger, cut each half into 4. These may also be stacked with 1 more slice by using a fourth filling tinted yellow. Makes 42.
