Total Time:

Ingredients:

1 bag fresh cranberries
1 cup water
1 cup brown sugar

Directions:

Put all ingredients in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Cranberries will pop open and split. Sauce will thicken on it's own.

When sauce has thickened, use a potato masher to squash about half of the berries.

Pour sauce into a serving bowl and serve it up.

Prepare to receive praise. :)

Comments from crymsin_lilly :

I hated cranberry sauce. I hated how it slid out of the can with that sucking, slurping noise and I hated the ring indentions. Why on earth would you eat something that looked like a little red can? That's how I felt until my friend Dez made this simple sauce for me and now I make it every year. My mother still prefers the can. No accounting for taste I suppose. :)
