1 lg. onion, minced
2 tbsp. butter
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, diced
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 taspoon salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
1/4 cup grated cheese (Parmesan, Swiss, or Cheddar)
2 tbsp. butter, melted

Directions:

Saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet 5 minutes. Add mushrooms; saute 5 minutes longer. Blend well, flour, salt, and pepper with skillet mixture. Add whipping cream and sour cream gradually; mixing thoroughly. Turn into 1-quart casserole. Top with cheese. Drizzle melted butter over top. Bake at 350 F. about 20 minutes, or until thoroughly heated. 4 to 6 servings.
