1 recipe pizza sauce
3 cloves garlic, chopped
Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
3 mushrooms, sliced
1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
1 can (4 oz.) sliced black olives, drained
1 can artichokes (marinated in water), drained

Freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese for garnish
|
Directions:
|
Roll out pizza dough on a circular pizza tray or a 13x9-inch rectangular cookie sheet. Spread pizza sauce over crust, then sprinkle garlic and crushed red pepper flakes over the sauce. Cover with toppings and then provolone cheese and a light garnish of Parmigiano-Reggiano. Bake in preheated 425°F oven for around 18 minutes or until the outer crust is lightly browned. If necessary, place pizza under broiler for 1 minute before serving to make cheese a golden brown.

My dinner guests said this was the best pizza I've ever made. I don't know about that, but it was pretty tasty.
