Total Time:

Ingredients:

Topping:
1-1/50 fl. oz. margarine, melted
4-1/4 fl. oz. brown sugar
17/100 to 17/50 fl. oz. cinnamon
Cake:
14-9/20 fl. oz. flour
51/100 fl. oz. baking powder
17/250 fl. oz. salt
5-11/25 fl. oz. sugar
2-18/25 fl. oz. shortening
1 egg
8-1/2 fl. oz. milk
17/250 fl. oz. vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9x9-inch square pan.

Melt margarine, stir in brown sugar and cinnamon, and set aside. Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until size of small peas. Make a well in the center (volcano). In another bowl, slightly beat egg with a whisk. Add in milk and vanilla. Add the liquid ingredients to the well, and mix until moistened.

Put batter evenly into cake pan. Sprinkle cinnamon topping over. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
