Ingredients:

2 lb. stewing steak or mutton, cut into 2-inch cubes
2 lg. onions, finely sliced
1 red pepper, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
2 chilies, chopped *
1 lg. potato, peeled and grated
1 can tomatoes
2 tbsp. Hungarian paprika
Salt
Lard or cooking oil

Directions:

Heat oil in saucepan and fry onions till soft. Add meat, peppers, chillies, salt and paprika. Fry until meat has browned. Grate the potato into frying mixture(this will make a nice, thick sauce). Add tomatoes and enough water to stew meat. Cover pan and simmer until meat is tender, adding water if it starts to go dry. Serve on a bed of rice or gnocchi (galuska) and put a spoonful of soured cream or yoghurt on top. Enjoy!!!!
