Ingredients:

3 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
6 tbsp. butter (unsalted)
1-1/2 cups sugar (use a little less if desired)
3/4 cup unsifted flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 to 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate bits
3/4 cup chopped macadamia nuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small saucepan melt chocolate and butter; transfer to a large mixing bowl and cool. To chocolate add sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate bits and 1/2 cup macadamia nuts.

Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan. Spinkle the top with remaining nuts. Bake until a cake tester inserted comes out clean, about 40 minutes. Cool on wire rack about 20 minutes. Cut into 1-1/2-inch squares. Wrap in clear plastic wrap, if desired.
