Servings:

4 cups

Prep. Time:

Total Time:

1:00

Ingredients:

2 cups ketchup ( not the watery type)
2 cups beer
2 tbsp. good mustard grey poupon if ya got it
2 tbsp. Tim's F'n Good Hot Shtuff Essence
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 cup apple juice concentrate or fresh cider
1/2 lime, squeezed
1 tsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. granulated garlic

Directions:

Toss everything into a sauce pot and bring it to a boil. Then reduce to a simmer and let it reduce to where it looks fairly like steak sauce, not too runny not too thick, about 1/2 hour. Let cool and give it a taste, please do not use any salt, if it's too sweet use a little more vinegar, sparingly please, you could ruin it if you're not careful.

Can also be used as a bbq sauce if you like, just increase the brown sugar and add a bit of liquid smoke, maybe an eyedropper full. Enjoy.
