1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. unsalted butter
2 ripe bananas, halved lengthwise then cut crosswise
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tbsp. banana liqueur
1/4 cup dark rum
1/2 pint vanilla ice cream

Directions:

Melt brown sugar and butter in a flat chafing dish or medium skillet over medium heat. Add banana pieces; cook turning occasionally, until tender, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Stir in banana liqueur.
Heat rum in a small skillet or saucepan over medium heat about 30 seconds. Light with a long match and pour over the banana mixture. Baste until flame dies. Put ice cream into serving bowls and top with banana mixture.
