Ingredients:

2 pkg. (16 oz. each) Hillshire Farm Cocktail Dogs
4 cups ketchup
1-1/4 cups brown sugar
1-1/4 cups bourbon
2 tbsp. freshly diced onions
1 cup water

Directions:

Open drain and rinse the cocktail dogs. Mix all ingredients in a suace pan and heat on medium for 25 minutes. Place all of the mixture in a bowl, use cocktail toothpicks and serve.

A slower version is to mix all ingredients in your crockpot, cook on low for 4 hours and serve.

Comments from rudyw :

With the brown sugar and bourbon flavor, these become an instant hit at any party.

I use Hillshire coctail dogs (preferrably all beefs or polich sausage) and middle of the road bourbon. You are looking for flavor, so a little better bourbon has a "cleaner" flavor.
